2026 PPRS Schedule

  • Generally our meetings are  scheduled February through October. We try to meet on the second Saturday of each month at Gold Hill Mesa Police Station. Times can vary, please check the date and time listed.

February 21st:  10:00 AM to noon at the Peel House. Installation of Officers and Program- and making "Rose Soup", a demonstration by chef Victoria Boswell of recipes using roses as ingredients. Victoria has had numerous vocations in her life, including catering.
 

March 6,7,8  Spencer's Garden Spring Event, at Spencer's Garden Center in Fountain, CO. Pruning demonstration, bring your pruners!


April 11:  11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 
Location:Moreno Police Station: 955 West Moreno Avenue.  
Hospitality providedby Dennis Husk and Karen Nuebert.



May 9 : 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, "Planting Your Roses" 10:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery Chapel

Topics:Will discuss planting and sources of roses. Three roses to be raffled: a bare root rose, an own root rose and a potted rose!  The Chapel is located immediately to the south of the entrance to Evergreen Cemetery.
Address: 1005 Hancock Expressway.  We will also sell roses at our meeting for Mother's Day at $25 each. 


June 9:  10:00 AM to 1:00PM, **TUESDAY**, "Grooming Your Winning Rose" at Gold Hill Police Station. Demonstration of how to groom that winning rose.


June 27:Saturday. Pikes Peak Rose Show - "STAMPEDE". Peel House. Colorado Springs.  Open to the public 1:00- 3:00 PM. All society members are invited to show and help clean up.

July 11: Tentative Garden Tour.. Time TBD.

August 8:11: 00 AM to 1:00 PM"Bugs and You" a Baldo Villegas video. Gold Hill Mesa Police Station.
September 12:Xeriscape Gardening in the Mountain West, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gold Hill Mesa Police Station. Learn how to plan and plant a xeriscape garden of your own.

October 10th:  Winter Preparation and Morticia Addams Rose Show and election of PPRS Officers11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. at Gold Hills Police Station.
Bring newspaper to make winter rose collars for your garden and bring your best and worst roses for judging
. Costumes Optional. Lunch main dish provided,  sign up for side dishes.

November2026--Holiday Party.
