2024 Schedule
- Most of our formal meetings February through October held at CSPD/Gold Hills Division; 955 W. Moreno Ave (Colorado Gold Hills Police Division Station). We try to have the meetings on the second Saturday of each month. Starting time 10:00 AM.
February 3rd and February 10th: On-line CR School. National CR Chairs, On-line CR School will be held the second and third weekends in February. Re-certification Credit. See RMD Barb Kemp.

February 17th: This will be our first official horticultural centered meeting. Welcome Back! Location: Gold Hills Police Station on Moreno. Time: 10:00 A.M.
Creating a Garden. Soil tests. Use of hoses to mark boundaries. Types of gardens, a slide show of hardscapes. A discussion of fertile soils, companions and sunlight needs for roses. Bring your pruners for sharpening.
March 8, 9, 10:Spencer's Spring Workshop. Spencer's Garden Spring Event. Times to be determined.
April 13, 2024. : Selecting new roses and planting Roses. Gold Hills Police Station. 10:00 AM
May 10, 2024:Pick up roses from High Country. Carpool, to tour High Country. Meeting place and time for carpooling TBD.
May 11, 2024: Starting at 10:00. Rose Sale. Rose sale to be in a parking lot by Cosco. See info from Dennis Husk.
June 15/16, 2024.Denver District Rose Show.
June 21, 2024: Friday, set up for our rose show at 1:00 PM.
June 22, 2024:Saturday. Pikes Peak Rose Show. Peel House. Colorado Springs. Open to the public 1:00- 3:00 PM. All society members are invited to clean up.
June: Garden Potluck. Place/Time TBD.
July 13, 2024: "Growing with Altitude." Field trip to Cotapaxi. Presenter Brenna Bosch, Master Rosarian. 10 AM. (**Drive time from Colorado Springs, CO to Cotapaxi ~ 1.5hrs)
August 10, 2024: Ice Cream Social Site: Colorado Springs. Mike and Anita Eckley's. Bring your favorite topping. Time TBD.
September 9-13, 2024:ARS NATIONAL CONVENTION. "Sailing on a Sea of Roses." Warwick, Rhode Island.
September 21, 2024 (third Saturday): Highlights of the ARS National Convention. information on Disease Prevention and pests to be highlighted. Ron Royce, District Director to present on Japanese Beetles. Place: Gold Hills Police Station at 10:00 A.M.
October 12th, 2024: Morticia Addams Rose Show. Have fun.
