The Pikes Peak Rose Society is an affiliate of the American Rose Society (www.ARS.org).
Dear Rose Enthusiast,
Welcome to the Pikes Peak Rose Society website.  We strive to be a resource
and benefit to the community.  We welcome any questions or ideas you may
have regarding the cultivation of roses.
The Pikes Peak Rose Society was organized in 1995 after several rose lovers
in the area recognized the need for a local society to share in the enjoyment
of growing roses.  View this page for more on our History!
We are affiliated with the American Rose Society (ARS), host a yearly rose show, offer monthly meetings,
issue 10 newsletters a year, and are a resource to the public on how to grow roses in our unique climate and
growing conditions.  Several of our members have grown roses here for many years and bring a wealth of
information to the community as local experts.  Our members have various areas of expertise on particular subjects
such as old roses, miniatures, hybrid teas, shrubs, fertilizing, pruning, soil, etc.
The Pikes Peak Rose Society holds monthly meetings, February through November, which include a variety
of programs, speakers, and tours of our member’s gardens.  Consulting Rosarians are members of our society
and are available to answer questions regarding the care of roses.  We have an annual rose show.  The general
public as well as members of any rose society are welcome to enter roses in our annual show.  Certificates,
ribbons, trophies, and prizes are awarded by ARS judges.
Thank you for visiting our website and, if you are not yet a member, we hope you will consider joining our
community of rose enthusiasts!
Yes, you can grow beautiful roses in the Pikes Peak Region!
