The Pikes Peak Rose Society is an affiliate of the American Rose Society (www.ARS.org).

2. Use of artificial plant material.
SCALE OF POINTS FOR ARTISTIC DESIGNS
CONFORMANCE: 5 points per category for a total
of 15 Points.
c. Conformance to theme of the class and other specific requirements of the
schedule.
USE OF DESIGN PRINCIPLES: 30 Points.
Each of the six major design principles is assigned 5 points: balance, contrast,
dominance, proportion, rhythm and scale.
PERFECTION OF THE ROSES USED: 30 Points.
Roses in peak condition, with good substance and fresh foliage.
Other plant materials in good condition.
CREATIVITY AND EXPRESSIVNESS USED IN THE DESIGN: 15 Points.
Imaginative and creative handling and use of materials.
THE DISTINCTION AND UNIQUENESS OF THE DESIGN: 10 Points.
Also includes superior technical execution and construction, marked superiority
in all aspects of the design, area around design clean.
There are only two causes for disqualification of an arrangement:
